Why We Give:

This is the fifth year of Choptank Transport Community Foundation's approach to “Giving Back” to local community charities. Our events are designed to give not only to one organization but to ten.

This year, our 10 organizations are:

Compass’ mission is to offer comprehensive, professional, and compassionate care and support to patients, caregivers and families who have found themselves facing a life-limiting diagnosis or loss.

Caroline County Humane Society's mission is to help as many animals as we can, through adoption, rescue, rehoming, fostering and medical care.


Channel Marker- creating a healthy Mid-Shore community by providing mental illness treatment and prevention programs, wellness support, and community services to individuals and their families.


Food For Learning- Helps to end childhood hunger in Caroline County

Harriett’s House is raising awareness, educating communities, providing outreach, drop-in centers, and establishing long-term restorative care.

Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore aims to provide financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs to students K-12 in an effort to prepare them for success outside the classroom. We serve six counties on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and one on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. 

Meals Til Monday- MidShore Meals til Monday is working to end childhood hunger by feeding Dorchester County’s children so they may focus on creativity, learning and development. Meals til Monday closes the gap on hunger by sending home healthy, nutritious and easy to prepare food options during times when children may not have access to consistent meals.

Founded in 1981, Talbot Hospice offers hope and compassionate support to those facing life-limiting, serious or end-of-life illnesses. We endeavor to build a lasting legacy as an inclusive, trusted and compassionate provider of care for those facing serious illness and end-of-life needs.

Talbot Humane provides a safe and healthy environment for unwanted companion animals in its care; places adoptable companion animals in good homes; protects all animals from cruelty and neglect; and reduces the unwanted companion animal population through spay/neuter and educational services in Talbot County, Maryland.
